Gagan Kalra, MD is a resident physician in ophthalmology at the UPMC Vision Institute, University of Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Kalra received his medical degree from GMCH, Chandigarh, India. He completed a vitreoretinal research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland, OH. His research focuses on diabetic retinopathy and dry age-related macular degeneration clinical trials. His academic interests include advanced ophthalmic imaging, machine learning-based quantitative analytics, and telemedicine-based applications within ophthalmology.
